How do I switch between the Modern, Classic, and Step by step form builders?

For accounts on the new MoonClerk dashboard design.

Written by Amitabh Tewari

MoonClerk has three ways to build a payment form. Modern puts every section on one page with a live checkout preview (this is the default for new accounts). Step by step walks you through the same six sections one at a time — Basics, Amount, Payment methods, Add-ons, Confirmation, and Organization — telling you which two are required before a form can take payments. Classic is the original single-page editor. Modern and Step by step can each do everything the other can; the difference is pacing, not capability. You can switch between them at any time.

How to switch builders

1) Click on the Account drop down menu and choose Settings.

2) Find the "Form builder" card near the top of the page. It shows which builder you're using; click one of the buttons on the right to switch to another.

3) Whichever builder you pick is what opens the next time you create or edit a payment form. Your forms themselves are unaffected — switching builders never changes a form's settings; it is a choice about how MoonClerk looks to you.
