Failed payment are out of our control, but cards may be rejected for a number of common reasons, sometimes only temporarily. Some of the reasons why a card may be rejected are:
The card is past its expiration date
The credit card is over its limit
The credit card number is incorrect
The bank account for the debit card has insufficient funds
The card has been flagged for fraudulent activity
Technical difficulties
Often times, a Payer may simply need to contact their bank and authorize the charge to your company.
For ACH payments from a payer’s bank account, failures can happen for a number of reasons such as: insufficient funds, a bad account number, or the customer disabled debits from their bank account
